We journey together toward hope, healing, and restoration with survivors and communities impacted by sexual exploitation in the Philippines.
Stories Matter
“That [reading abuse case files] impacts me in a way that makes me question about the futility of what we’re doing. But then I get to see the faces of the girls here and I remember all of the stories of all of girls who have been restored. When you get to see the faces behind those numbers and realize being those numbers are real stories, that’s when it hits you differently.” – Jedaia (MRH Therapeutic Aftercare and Advocacy Manager)
According to the most recent statistics in the Philippines, there has been a surge in cases of the Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (OSEC): from 19,000 suspicious transactions in 2019 to almost 50, 000 in 2020, with the average age of 11.
