This annual benefit show, featuring our critically acclaimed Creative Sponsor The Improvised Shakespeare Company (ISC), is a joyful and inspirational celebration of creativity, resilience, and the healing power of laughter! The ISC creates a fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece right before your eyes. Nothing has been planned out, rehearsed, or written. All of the dialogue is said for the first time, the characters are created as you watch, and if ever you’re wondering where the story is going…so are they!

We are also thrilled to welcome Sandy Velasco back as this year’s emcee. Sandy is an actor, writer, and comedian who has been performing comedy both in film and on stage for over 10 years. She most recently made her international debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Much Ado For Freedom reflects our values at My Refuge House of storytelling, bearing witness, and purposefully building bridges within and across communities in order to spark joy.
