ANNUAL LA WALK FOR FREEDOM RAISES AWARENESS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN LOS ANGELES AND AROUND THE WORLD:  Spark Hope and Promote Healing for Human Trafficking Awareness Month

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 2, 2024) — Southern California Partners for Global Justice (SCPGJ) extends a warm invitation to the community for the 2024 Annual LA Walk for Freedom to End Human Trafficking on January 13, 2024, at 9 AM. With over 15 years of impactful history, this community-driven event focuses on raising awareness and combating human trafficking. Join us as community leaders, activists, and concerned citizens unite to advocate for public health and human rights approaches in ending human trafficking.

The 2024 event commences at Blessed Sacrament Hollywood with a short program featuring inspiring words from Aquilina George (Survivor Leadership Program Coordinator at Cast), youth advocate voices, and a call to action. Participants take steps to spark hope and promote healing for those impacted by human trafficking while marching and chanting for 1.5 miles around the surrounding sidewalks in Hollywood. Participants encouraged to wear blue, make signs, and bring non-perishable food to donate to the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry.

Southern California Partners for Global Justice (SCPGJ) is a coalition of religious communities, organizations, and agencies that support each other to address issues of global injustice. The coalition collaborates and networks with efforts to educate, advocate, and act to change situations that deny the human rights and dignity of all people.
