Today, I visited My Refuge House for the first time in over 5 months.

I have to say, it’s surreal and amazing to come back to this house.

As many of you know, I directed our home in the Philippines for over 2 years, before moving to the US to work with My Refuge House in California. But my heart is definitely still here in Cebu. With the brave girls who live here, the beautiful country and property that our house is on, and the incredible hard-working staff who work tirelessly for restoration to be possible.

God has blessed our home so much. It’s overfull again, to accommodate those who need care the most, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. I truly believe God has

hand-picked the girls who have come to live here.

As I was walking through the house, I saw pictures the girls has drawn, proudly displayed on the walls. An entire wall of “Thank you” pictures to God, and another wall with a picture of a house and trees and flowers that one of our girls had written “[Her name] + God forever.”

Will you continue to pray for our girls? That God will walk with them as they work through their anxiety, fear, traumatic pasts and uncertain futures? He is doing incredible work, and we believe, now more than ever, that “He who began a good work in us will see it through to completion.”

But we also believe that prayers make a difference, and we covet yours!
